All mutations

Foggy

Common

1.5×
Trigger:
Fog

A gentle mist mutation. Low multiplier but easy to obtain during Fog weather.

Flooded

Common

1.5×
Trigger:
Rain

Triggered by Rain events. Plants get waterlogged for a modest value boost.

Soaked

Common

1.5×
Trigger:
Rain

Heavy rain soaks the soil. Cannot be on the same crop as Flooded.

Chilled

Common

1.5×
Trigger:
Snow

Trigger:
Sandstorm

Desert winds coat plants in sand. A solid 2.5× multiplier triggered by Sandstorm weather.

Frostbit

Rare

3.5×

Rare

3.5×
Trigger:
Fog + Snow (combo)

Requires and removes Foggy + Chilled. A 3.5× combination mutation that forms when fog and snow mutations meet.

Shocked

Very rare

4.5×
Trigger:
Thunderstorm

Lightning strikes during a Thunderstorm grant this powerful 4.5× mutation. Plant during storms for maximum ROI.

Muddy

Very rare

4.5×

Starstruck

Extreme

6.5×
Trigger:
Starfall 🌠

One of the most powerful mutations in Garden Horizons. 6.5× multiplier from Starfall events. Starstruck + Shocked Lush = 11× mutation sum × 3 = 33× final!

What is the Mutation Wiki?

The Mutation Wiki explains rare crops and mutation chains in Roblox Garden Horizons. Learn how to trigger mutations, expected value, and optimal setups for long-term farming or opportunistic play.

How Mutations Work in Garden Horizons

In Garden Horizons, weather rotates through different patterns on a short timer. When a special condition such as Rain, Snow, Fog, Thunderstorm, Sandstorm, or the rare Starfall is active, any crop planted during that window can roll for one or more mutation bonuses. Each mutation contributes its own flat multiplier to the plant's value, and those bonuses stack additively.

The key moment is when you put the seed in the ground. Mutations are locked in at planting time, not at harvest. If a strong weather event ends just before you plant, you miss the chance for that mutation. Keeping tools like the Live Stock Tracker open helps you react the instant a high-value weather pattern appears so you can fill your fields quickly. Once a plant's mutations are set, they persist for its entire growth.

Mutation stacking formula

Final value = Base price × Variant × (1 + sum of all mutation multipliers)

Mutations add together first, then the variant multiplier (for example Lush 3× or Gold 5×) scales the total result.

FAQ

How do I trigger a mutation?

Use the recommended base crop, growth stage, neighbor placement, and weather conditions listed here.

Are mutations worth chasing?

Rare mutations can provide massive Shilling boosts but require planning. Balance time vs. profit using the calculator.

Can multiple mutations occur simultaneously?

Yes, but stacking rules depend on weather and crop placement; check the wiki entry for each mutation chain.
